Behavioral health services are vital in our schools. So how can those services be increased and sustainable? By ensuring we are maximizing revenue. This session will describe how Michigan worked through a quality improvement process and successfully increased the revenue for behavioral health services, which has allowed centers to offer additional service hours for additional access. ABSTRACT DESCRIPTION
This workshop will describe what Michigan has done to improve/increase behavioral health billing revenue. Over the year we have been working on a quality improvement process to increase the behavioral health services provided in our schools and the reimbursement for those services. This will be demonstrated with a power point presentation which describes our success story. We will also provide some behavioral health billing tips that we put together that include; credentialing/contracting resources, coding and reimbursement rules as well as billing tips.
