ABSTRACT TITLE

Psychotropic Medications Commonly Used in SBHCs

ABSTRACT SUMMARY

Primary care providers (PCPs) in SBHCs frequently see students with mental health problems and often are called upon to manage the problem at least temporarily yet few PCPs are comfortable with prescribing and managing psychotropic medications. The purpose of this workshop is to help PCPs increase their comfort with choosing and starting psychotropic medications and co-managing medication treatment of mental health disorders in students by using a combination of powerpoint presentation and interactive decision making.
